Hello everybody,
This is part of my first task in Text Fugu of self introduction.
Im a 15 year old highschool student from Auststralia who is 1/4 Japanese. Embarrassingly, I lived in Tokyo for 10 years, going to an international school, yet only have a small understanding of the language. I am going on a 2 month exchange to Kobe in the Christmas holidays, so I want to improve my Japanese before I go.

I’ve gotta admit, I find it pretty easy to avoid having to speak the language when I’m in a foreign country if I just hang out with my English-speaking travel companions, and that’s so very tempting to do as well. If you managed ten years like that, though, that’s pretty impressive. =P
I would’ve loved living in Tokyo… The closest I got was vacation…
However I an planning to exchange just like you, but instead of two months I plan on a whole year!
