Hello everyone!
My name is Andrew and I am learning Japanese as a step towards my eventual goal of getting a PhD in history. Japanese history is a major part of what I study and very little has been translated so learning Japanese is very key for my goal.Welcome! What sort of time period did you have in mind?
The time period that I focus on is Mid 19th century to the present.
So, Meiji Restoration onwards? I have to admit, that kinda seems to me like it’d be the most-focused-on period of Japanese history. What manner of texts haven’t been translated? … Into what language? =)
