Hey everybody,

My nickname is “Saeloun”, and I’m an English literature student at university. I first heard about textfugu last August, and I went through all the free chapters in September. I absolutely loved it! I finally found a resource for learning Japanese that is designed for self-learners, and textfugu explains concepts in a clear manner! Consequently, I just purchased the lifetime membership to textfugu, and I’m really eager to learn more.

I think I first became interested in Japan when I was younger, because my family was briefly a homestay family for two Japanese students (I live in Canada). We had a lot of fun getting to know them, and they introduced some aspects of Japanese culture to us (like food :P). I’m a total beginner with Japanese, but my goal is to gain a high level of skill with the language. I know that will be a lot of work, but I’m willing to spend the time learning. One day (maybe when I graduate), I’d love to visit Japan too!
