I saw that TextFugu was on sale so I went what the hell. I studied Japanese at my community college for a year but ran out of classes to take. So now I’m trying to continue my studies.

My end goal is to read light novels. I’m a giant bookworm and have already read quite a few series that have been translated into English – but it’s not the same. I want to read things in their original language and I’d rather not wait for someone else to translate them. It may seem like a strange goal, but do not underestimate how much I love books.

Hooray, sales! Hoooray!!! for bookworms!! (Bows on meeting fellow bookworm/bibliophile (since we are grownups) Victoria for the first time.) A pleasure to meet you. And now, for the serious business – do you have any light novels you would recommend? What (genre) is your poison – nay, elixir? Have you read No. 6 (my most recent light-novel love)? Welcome! :)

Any goal is a good goal, IMO.

Good luck on expanding your selection of books two-fold.

@Sunnie1 I have been reading No.6 – it’s so much better than the adaptation. Last thing I read though was The Cage of Zeus/ゼウスの檻 which is just a normal novel that’s difficult enough in English. I enjoyed it quite a bit, it might be something you’re interested in if you like No.6.
