Now, how to begin that introduction?
I got hooked up to Japanese culture and the language some years ago, thanks to the TV-series ‘Shogun’ (that was in…um, 1982?). Up until now I tried to learn the language several times, my first attempt being too long ago to remember.
Summing that up: it’s like a childs dream, which often gets realized much, much later. And I’d like to travel to Japan for a couple of months within the next 5 years, mostly avoiding the big cities so I think knowing a bit of the language might be advisable.
Oh, since English is not my native language please forgive any grave mistake I did or will do while participating in this board.
