    Hello,
My name is Teagun, I live on the Kenai Peninsula in beautiful Alaska. My reason for learning Japanese is I find it very interesting and challenging. I started to browse around looking for a method to learn Japanese about five days ago, when my friend told me he used rosetta stone for a month and got discouraged and quit. I know it sounds mean, but my prior motivation was to play all the games he wanted to, but couldnt because there is no American port. We really are friends, we just do these kinds of things to each other. But quite honestly I like learning the language for more than just a game now. It’s pretty much a hobby for me now, I love the thrill of a challenge like learning Japanese. I demo’d this textbook all I could, and I loved it enough to sub. (Would have bought but low on funds) I love the way the material is presented, and the community seems really nice. Thanks for having me aboard!

Hi Teagun! Welcome. :) Alaska does seem very beautiful from the photos I’ve seen.

I too started learning Japanese for someone else but then switched to learning for myself. It’s a beautiful language!

    Good luck with your studies!
