Hai there!

My name is Katelynn, but most people know me as k8mnstr. I decided to sign up for TextFugu because a.) I support anyone who helps others self-learn languages and b.) I’ve always wanted to seriously study Japanese.

When answering the first question a dozen reasons came to my mind, but they didn’t seem serious enough to me. “I’ve always loved Japanese culture!” “It’d be cool to be able to watch anime and not have to rely on subtitles.” But then my real reason dawned on me: because I plan on living in Japan and teaching English within the next 5 years. Granted, I have a lot of work to do to bring me to that point, but starting with the language I believe is a proper start.

I’m excited to begin my journey and look forward to meeting other adventurers along the way! ^_^x;
