Hey!
The reason for my title is I have been a member for quite some time now and I am sure I made an introduction before. However, I never got round to having a proper schedule and learning regularly because reasons.
But this time, I know exactly what’s going on in my life and what I need to do so learning Japanese has become more important for me now than ever!
So here goes my intro:
Hate England. Love Japan.
Japan good. England bad.I was born in England but my home is Japan. I have started working at Four Seasons Hotel, Hampshire, UK. I am trying to work my way up in this company and transfer to Four Seasons, Tokyo/Kyoto, whichever becomes available. So I am here to learn Japanese in order to help that happen and so I can live in Japan happily ever after. I really wanted to learn the language before because I have always wanted to live there anyway, but this time it is for real!

That said, I don’t want to be a wet blanket, but please don’t go to Japan with a mindset of “Japan’s an awesome magical place because it’s not England”. Sure, they do some things differently there, and sure, it’s not England, but it’s still a real place where real people go about their ordinary daily lives.
Go for Kyoto, though. It’s prettier. =)
