Hello,
My name is Kristina, I’m 24 years old and live in the USA, East Coast. I’ve wanted to learn a new language for some time now but Spanish and French never made any sense to me. I’ve always loved the Japanese culture and have enjoyed Anime and Manga since High school, so eventually I got to the point where I said, I want to self teach Japanese. a few Google searches later, I stumbled upon TextFugu and have been hooked since. It has been a wonderful experience so far and I love the way the content is presented and the personality the author puts through the text. I am excited to learn and welcome friends who are learning as well.

I admit I find it a little bit curious that Spanish and French make no sense to you, considering they’re much more closely related to English than Japanese is.
Welcome, Kristina! TextFugu is a fantastic site, so I hope you have a great experience learning Japanese here. Honestly, I’m with you–I always struggled with Spanish, simply because I wasn’t ever as invested in it as I was in Japanese. 頑張れ！
