Hey there,
My name is Minaye (pronounced mean-eye) and I have studied Japanese for about 2 years in college. Unfortunately, my school doesn’t offer more than 4 semesters of Japanese classes, so I’ve fallen out of practice over the past several months and I don’t think I’ve got much to show for the lessons I have taken. :/I’m currently studying abroad in Nagoya and my tiny grasp of Japanese has become terribly apparent. I’m hoping that working with everyone here on Textfugu will help get me back on track.
I want to learn Japanese because I hope to one day live and work here in Japan. I would like to work with a consulting firm helping individuals and companies learn how to communicate with each other across differing cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I’d also like to travel a lot when I grow up, so I’m trying to build an arsenal of languages so that I can connect with people more easily.

-Minaye.Hey Minaye. Welcome to TF :) . It’s great your already in Japan. Nagoya looks like a great city. You have ambitious goals and I’m sure you will be able to achieve them. Languages are fantastic to learn and are an indespinsable skill. Good luck with learning Japanese. Btw, what country are you from?
