Just finished lesson one and decided to see how long I can keep this going.
I’m a culinary student with a major Japanese food obsession, so not knowing the language is actually proving a hindrance to what I can learn in that respect. Even before that I was a huge gamer and anime geek, which prompted me to learn about and fall in love with Japanese culture. I suppose I’m just a fairly well rounded geek? I think i just have some kind of knowledge Greed. Either way, I basically want to learn everything I can through learning Japanese.

Well mine too, one of my reasons to learn japanese, that I’d love to be able to read japanes cooking books ^_^Caught me, though I mostly avoided Japanese specific things that I already knew from cooking them and went for basic things like a few kitchen terms, vegetables that I like, and the names of the more common meats. It makes me laugh a bit I’m going this far since most of my family and friends think I’ve learned the extent of it and need to pick up something else, but I’m doing t.his since I feel like I’m a total novice XD. Even Moreso than books I’d love to play around with Japanese internet resources – It’s like opening up a second infinite list of stuff.
