Hi everyone. I decided to drop by on the forums and say hello (for the narrator gave me this task). I’m 21 years old and from Turkey.

Since we lost the bid to host the Olympics, I acknowledged the superiority of Japan and decided to go live there. Joking aside, I’m planning to continue my education (Computer Programming) in Japan. So it’s logical for me to study Japanese in advance. Worst case scenario; I would be relieved from the pain of waiting some good hearted guy to translate my favorite Japanese manga/RPG. So yeah I will be hanging out here in the following months.

ha ha awesome. I am totally new here too. Just went through the first (free) season, and moving on now to season two. My motivation for learning Japanese comes from a fascination of tech and IT, which is further ahead in Japan. I run a couple of websites (see below) and travel while I post and keep these sites running.

Hi, great sense of humour :)

I’m new here, too! Just starting on Season 1 Lesson 3 :)

Computer Programming in Japanese – any particular reason why not in Turkish or English??

I also like to learn a little programming :)

What Japanese RPGs do you play??

Well, there is no Programming in Japanese or Turkish; it’s in Java, C++, C# etc and all of them are English. In Turkey most CS people work on IT and it’s pretty advanced actually, but I’m more interested in studying on 3D Graphics Engines and that sector is almost non-existent here. Sure I can try my chance in Europe or US but Japan is more interesting. Besides who doesn’t need to learn another language. (Yeah I’m learning a foreign language using another foreign language, so cool!)

There are many Japanese RPG games, but recently I played Dark Souls and it’s very good game. There are also visual novels that are partially rpg games that you can check them out here (“vndb.org” like imdb for visual novels). If you like reading they are great, but they can be a bit kinky sometimes so I advise you to check their age ratings first.
