Hello,

My name is John, and I currently live in Alabama. I’ve been studying Japanese off and on for a few years now and am working with TextFugu as a refresher. I’ve also begun working on WaniKani (actually started with it a few months ago).

I’m admittedly unsure of what I hope to accomplish with Japanese. Ideally, I’d like to use it in a professional capacity of some sort (maybe even move to Japan at some point). Unfortunately, my immediate surroundings don’t really provide much of an opportunity to work with it in any practical fashion. So, I suppose learning Japanese is mostly a hobby in and of itself for now.
