I wanted to learn Japanese for quite some time now, but got stuck at learning Kanji to be able to use better grammar recources.
Thats when I found WaniKani this year, where I am progressing continously. (Level 6 atm)
So now I am starting to learn grammar here, on this wonderfully constructed japanese-learning paradise that TextFugu is.
Why I am learning japanese? I was always interested in different writing systems. I learned Tengwar in 10th grade just for fun. Now it’s japanese because I have a connection to it through Anime and Manga. My first goal is to be able to read a Manga (maybe after the fifth time) without having to look up more than 20 Kanji.
About me: I am currently studying material science at an university.
My hobbies are anime, manga and simracing
Music I listen to is generally heavy metal (Saltatio Mortis, Sabaton, Foreground Eclipse etc.) but also Vocaloid and some artists like Silent Siren or Yuikonnu.
