    Hello Textfugu community !
My pseudo is breakies : I’m a girl with glasses who lives in France, in a region where there’s good wine :)

I started learning japanese accidently in july 2009, by learning kanji because I was fed up to be completely lost with non-translated ones in my manga readings. (I’m still not sure it’s a common approach.)

After informing myself about kanji learning, I chose RTK french version which I finished in 1,5years (yeah, I know I was not quick, but I can’t understand how people can go faster and work in the same time, which is my case)

After, I decided to go in Japan in 2011 so it gave me a motivation to learn japanese. However, I didn’t choose the good dates because 15 days before my departure, there was the earthquake -> tsunami -> nuclear troubles :(
My trip was cancelled four days after the 11th of march.

For this new year, I might tempt on march too but this is not with the same motivation and I’m afraid to say thet nuclear spectrum is in my spirit and tells me not to go.
For this new year, also, I’m giving another chance to really learn japanese. I’m still looking for the road i will be able to follow up to the destination, because for the moment, I’m dispersing a lot. ^^

Hi breakies – Welcome! If you have the opportunity to visit Japan, you should go! It’s a wonderful country and you can still travel safely.

    Good luck with your studies!
