Hi guys,

I just started learning japanese two weeks ago with TextFugu and got along so well with it that I finally decided to go ahead and spend the $99 on the lifetime membership.

But a bit about myself:
I’m a german student, currently studying aerospace engineering at the University of Stuttgart. I already have my Bachelor’s degree and am currently working on my Master’s.
Aside from all this, I’m what I myself would call a “travel-nut”. I love going to new places (as long as I can afford it), and especially to those that are a lot different from what I know in terms of culture and language.
So far I’ve managed to speak a fluent english and french, with some average serbian and basic arabic on the side.
Japanese has become my new big goal as a language and I want to get at least to a level where I can have a normal conversation with someone.
Why Japanese: as I mentioned before, I’m particularly interested in countries and cultures that differ from “western” culture, and have always been interested in Japan and japanese culture. What finally pushed me over the top was my watching a lot of english subbed Anime in the past few months and beginning to plan for a big trip to Japan (maybe 2 months long) as a self-celebration after I will have finished my studies at the university.
