    Dia Duit Gach Duine !
The above translates to “hello everybody” in Irish (:

I am a long term admirer of Tofugu and its writers and have often considered joining TextFugu as I have been self studying Japanese for the past few months, without making much progress. When I realised the lifetime membership was 50% off, I knew I would not be able to resist the temptation to join this undoubtedly fantastic service.
My interest in learning Japanese stems from a passion for studying languages, rather than a love of Japanese culture. But as I began learning the language, the culture of Japan definitely piqued my interest and I would now love to visit the country one day !
To answer the question at the beginning of Textfugu regarding my reason for learning Japanese. I want to attain a top mark in the Japanese test of the Irish end of school examinations, the leaving cert !
    Ja ne !

Hi BioDiverse! I might not know Irish (Gaelic?), but I’m still glad to have you on TextFugu. Good luck with your studies!
