hi everyone!!

My name is Rob and I’ve been living in Japan for almost 10 years now, you’d imagine that I must be fluent by now?
Well… thing is, I never get the chance to use Japanese! As an English teacher at a private eikaiwa, it’s important that we create an English atmosphere which encourages English conversation, as such I rarely get the chance to speak Japanese and never with adults!
I can converse fairly well with kids and teenagers but after that… it’s a struggle!

In the future I want to work as an interpreter/translator in fields that I find interesting, music, art, history. I’m not looking for big bucks but rather to do something that truly makes me feel enthusiastic about it.
