Hello everyone, My name is Danielle and I have been trying to find a good way to learn Japanese for months now and just happened to stumble across TextFugu the other day in a Google search. I am super excited to find such an engaging and interactive resource to help me learn Japanese! I have been watching Anime and reading Manga since I was a little girl and enjoyed it until I was old enough to realize that the American versions of these beloved works were very watered down and often changed or censored things they considered “wrong”. In addition to that, I learned some basic Japanese in my Karate and Judo classes over the years and have always wanted to learn more. Also, I live in an area with a large Asian population (we even have an elementary school here that teaches in both Japanese and English) so I would love to learn to be able to have conversation with the people in my neighborhood and city. I’m looking forward to meeting some new people who are sharing in the journey of learning Japanese together.
