Hey everyone, I’m Andrew. Originally from New York, now part of the USAF stationed in Las Vegas.

Learning Japanese has been something I’ve wanted to do since I graduated high school 8 years ago, but I never had the tools or the motivation. Being in the military gave me the skills to stick with something even if it’s difficult. It also gave me free Rosetta Stone, which I started using before this.

But Rosetta Stone is crap for reading. It’s good for listening and vocabulary, but I wanted to READ Japanese. Why? Because I’m a huge fan of the Super Robot Wars series in Japan, an amazing series of games that rarely comes to the United States or gets translated. A joke within the community is that it will take you years to learn enough Japanese to read the game’s massive amounts of text, but it will still be faster than waiting for a translation.
