Hey everyone my name is Brandon! I was actually introduced to Tofugu/TextFugu by John (Yes that John) when we worked together at OSU. It was always inspiring to see how hard he worked studying Japanese and was even jealous when he went on his 10 week study over in Japan.

I studied a bit of Japanese in school (Graduated with a major in East Asian History) but ended up studying the wrong way and hurting myself in the long run. I hope to one day take a trip over to Japan and go from there. I almost moved there a year ago after being TEFL certified but ended up getting a full time IT position here in the states.

As for me personally I enjoy playing many genres of games, both video and board/card as well as watching Anime (Mostly Subbed) and reading manga. I also enjoy reading books and hanging out with friends. Pretty much me in a nutshell.

I’ve decided to finally take up studying the language again because I’ve always wanted

Anyways my main reason for taking up the study of Japanese again is because I truly wish to visit the country (Though I may not come back ;D).
