    Hi, everyone!

My name is Gerran, and I cannot wait to learn more Japanese!
I took an Intro to Japanese class during my senior year of university, and I hope to build on that knowledge. I also love learning about Japanese culture, and hope to visit Japan next spring with my friends (One of which has already been, and even got to visit the manga museum and the Resident Evil themed cafe! Jealous!).

While I love anime, manga, and video games, and can’t wait to experience them in their original forms, I really want to learn Japanese to being able to read patterns! I am a huge fan of alternative fashion, and have several volumes of the Gothic Lolita Bible with patterns that I can’t follow….yet! Ohohoho!

Anyway, good luck to us all~~~~!

Patterns? As in, sewing patterns? Can’t say I’ve ever heard anyone set that as a goal for Japanese-learning before. =)

Oooo, gothic lolita is such an interesting look. It looks intimidating to actually sew, though. I look forward to seeing your progress. I’m curious to see how that look is put together.
