Hello everyone ^_^

My name is Alex. I’ve always been fascinated with Japanese culture, to the point where I have a whole book shelf dedicated to it. Not manga (Although I do love manga), but educational/ informational books on the language, people, history, and customs. So I’ve always loved Japan. I stumbled upon TextFugu one day and immediately fell in love with it. I learned effectively and quickly, soaking up everything I could, however this was while I was in my senior year of college and It became very stressful to manage all my classes while remaining dedicated to learning Japanese. So I had to set Japanese aside for a brief time in order to finish my degree.
Now that I am graduated and I have free time outside of work, I’ve decided to pick it back up and give it all I’ve got. I’ve finally learned all of my Hiragana and Katakana and I feel that now I am more prepared and equipped to start learning Japanese seriously again. I’m ready to fully tackle the infuriating and sometimes devastating beast known as Kanji (Cue villain music).

I would like to learn Japanese:
- To be bi-lingual/ more educated
- To understand and appreciate the culture more
- To one day live in Japan
- To one day work as a translator or find work in Japan

These are all dreams of mine (Some being very ambitious) that I would like to accomplish, and with TextFugu’s guidance, strong motivation, and some hard work ethic, I know I can accomplish these goals. Thanks everyone! ^_^
