    こんにちは!
My name is Anton, I’m a 22 year old Swedish lad.
I, like so many other wapanese Swedes, started watching animes a few years ago and have been hooked on Japanese culture ever since. I recently got a working holiday visa for Australia and I’m now enjoying farm life with and teaching English to loads of Taiwanese, Koreans and best of all of course, Japanese. Some of them gave me the idea that I should try working as an English teacher in Japan; I gave it a lot of thought and it eventually evolved into one of my top goals in life!
So here I am, trying to learn a bit of the language of the country I eventually want to move to!
I know a few words already from animes and my farm friends, but I still have a lot of work ahead of me. I’m really looking forward to it though as I love learning languages!

I found Textfugu through the This Japanese Life blog and from the intro it sounded good enough for me to go right ahead and buy the lifetime membership, so I do believe and hope it will be a great help!

And from a bit of lurking the forums seem very friendly and helpful so I do think I’ll enjoy my time here anyways ^^

    Welcome to TextFugu!

I currently live in Australia as well, but no where near a farm. :P

I also taught ESL and was planning on doing it in Japan, but never quite got there. Good luck in your quest and I hope you can see it through.

It sounds like you’ve browsed around the forums a bit, so you’ve likely seen me post these to other new members, but I’ll post them here too, just in case. ^_^

Thread for some tips on organizing Anki 2 with the early chapters of TextFugu:
