I figured if I’m gonna go after this again, I might as well go all in!

So, My introduction – really, answer to the first question :) – basically why am I here?

I’m learning Japanese because I have wanted to since I was a teenager. In the early and mid 80′s I saw many movies and anime that were dubbed and I always wanted to be able to hear the emotion and the character portrayal of the original speaker and understand what was being conveyed without listening or reading someone elses translation.

When I first started learning Japanese in college, I really wanted to visit Japan but difficulties at home made that dream a near impossibility and with the 2 semesters of Japanese, I fell behind in credit hours and had to stay an extra semester to finish my degree which also didn’t sit well at home.

I really want to complete what I had started so many years ago (um, more than I feel like counting atm ;) and learn this language so that I can experience those things I always wanted and maybe one day even get to go to Japan and enjoy it in a way I might not be able to without knowing the language.
