Hey! Been using the free TextFugu for over a week now and have become much more confident in reading Hiragana as a result. Here’s my obligatory “Hello” post!

I just started getting into anime about 2 years ago and have now watched over 150. I’m a game developer who has for a long time had a fondness of Japan even before my deep dive into anime. As a result I’ve slowly picked up words and finally decided to take the deep dive into fully learning Japanese.

My future goal is to move to Japan for an extended stay and work as a game developer there (preferably hired, but indie might be an option). It was fun watching Space Brothers recently because all of the OP’s and ED’s as well as multiple messages between characters was written partially in Hiragana so it was good to try to keep up with the dialogue while reading the characters (even if I didn’t know what they said!)
