Name’s Katie or Sekah, and I’m learning Japanese because I want to be able to converse with people when I visit this upcoming August. I also want to take my Grandmother’s friend Yasuko-san up on her offer to teach me to cook, and surprise her with how much I know. Also, I’ve always wanted to be fluent in another language, so pushing myself to actually get there is important, I think.
