I just wanted to say welcome. I haven’t studied in a while and have been looking to get back into it. I’m sorry I have no ideas for your problem as I don’t really know Macs all that well.

    Good luck!

    Welcome!

On the PC, the shortcut to switch languages is alt+shift.

For the benefit of any future users w=with the sane issue who find this thread, what was your solution? =)

    Hello Joel

Thanks for the welcome massage !

For my problem, I have seen fixed from thanks to Cyrus. Here’s his reply to me:

You should be able to toggle between the two with the shortcut {command+space}, or by using {control+shift+j} for the Japanese keyboard and {control+shift+;} to toggle back to English.

If that’s not working (sometimes {command+space} is already taken by something else), you can change your shortcut key settings by going into System Preferences>Keyboard>Shortcuts.

Then choose ‘Input sources’, click the box ‘select next source in input menu’. I just type over the shortcut key command to get a new command.

Hope this helps anyone who has the same issue with their Mac.

    Cheers
    Vicki
