Well obviously everyone is here for the same reason.
My main reason for learning Japanese is that I will be staying in Japan for 5 weeks at the end of August with my boyfriend. Hes been there twice and well I’ve been dreaming about it since I was in grade 6. Never actually thought I would be going.
While being there I want to be able to speak and hopefully get some job oportunities! While on vacation:D
Currently living on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. I sculpt, produce special effects makeup for photographers and indie films, also do lots of drawing and am an amature painter. Love bugs so quite excited to see Japans insects. Also have tattoos which are still fairly tabu in Japan. But I hope to not desturbe to many locals. I have a sleve of Ghibli characters and kawai foods hopefully it will break the ice with some.
First stop in Japan will be climbing mt. Fuji and after soak in an onsen to relax from the hike

Ooo, good luck with Fuji. I went up, but had to turn back at three thousand meters. Bah. Just remember, you need to make the climb before the 31st of August, because the huts close after that, and climbing is strongly discouraged.

Yes we are heading there August 21 so we have a week before it closes. Tere has to be a good forcast one of those days right ;)
