My name is Matt I’m 19 years old and I’ve decided to learn Japanese.
I’m very new but very keen to get far! I’ve completed Season 1 and I am now moving on to Season 2.
The total amount of time I’ve spent thus far is about 3 weeks. This is all very exciting and fun. I hope I can continue
my goal of becoming good at Japanese.Right on Matt, keep up the good work! Season 2 is a lot of fun (I just finished it a few days ago) just don’t get too caught up on the vocab. I made the mistake early on of getting bogged down trying learn all the vocab perfectly despite the fact that season 2 is more focused on grammar… oops. Best of luck.

Welcome and have fun. :) In my experience the vocab learning will come pretty easily if you just remember to do what Anki tells you to (do yourself a favour and use it every day or at least most days).
Anyway – hope you’ll have a good time on TF… And yea – have a look at Aikibujin’s thread. It’s nice to have someone to talk to and compare progress with when you’re studying on your own. :)
