Hi everyone! I’m ryangelion (guess what my name is- it’s not “gelion”) from Southern California. Beginning my path to self-studying Japanese became one of my resolutions this year after realizing how much I find the Japanese culture interesting and how big anime has become in my life. After pooling together and learning from a few free/cheap resources (including season one here) I’ve decided to make the leap into adding more priced tools into the mix! I enjoyed the style of TextFugu season one and the curriculum’s apparent focus on learning kanji through radicals and moving into actually using the language quickly really resonated with me.
Looking forward to learning alongside everyone (study group sometime?!)!
