Hi everyone. I just broke down and bought myself a month’s membership as a self birthday present, yes it’s my birthday today. I am an airfield manager in the United States Air Force. I was stationed in Tokyo for three years, 2007-2010. I learned a lot of Japanese when I was there. I taught English to the Japanese Air Force and locals. I loved my stay there and hope to return for business or even retirement. I have been stuck in New Mexico for 2 years and have been too busy with work to get back into Japanese. I have recently found more free time as I got orders to Guam in November. I will be closer to Japan and it would be unspeakable if I didn’t return to Japan for vacations while I’m in the Pacific already. I need to refresh myself in Japanese so I can karaoke with style and make bar buddies again. It would be nice if I could get good enough to qualify for the Japanese language test to get paid extra by the Air Force or work as a Japanese linguist, dream job.
