Today I downloaded the Anki Radicals 1 deck and it only had two cards in it, but I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to have seven. Something similar happened to me with Sentences 1, but it was only missing one card, so I just shrugged it off. I have a Mac, so I’m wondering if that is somehow causing the problem. I tried both opening the .anki file and importing the deck with Anki already open. Either way, it only has two cards in the deck. :/ Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I think this happened not because of hardware issues, but because of the updates Koichi’s been rolling out recently.

In the past, there could’ve been more radicals to learn since stroke-one kanji were just lumped together. Since the latest update though, Koichi said that only radicals relevant to the kanji you’re learning next would be learnt i batches as you go along.

Read the note just above the radicals. =)

Oh, I get it. That makes sense. Thanks!

Still not sure why I was (maybe) missing a card from the sentences deck, though, unless that has changed, too. (There were only nine cards and based on what was in the lesson, it looked like there should have been ten.)

Have the sentences decks changed also? I haven’t been able to find anything about the sentences decks in the updates.

@Hymnia: No problem. As for the other question, you could try re-downloading it again. Or, if the problems still persists, try giving a shout to Koichi. I’ve a sneaking suspicion that a sentence was just left out.

@Vanandrew: Most probably they haven’t, since Koichi should’ve mentioned it if they did. I can’t tell for sure since I haven’t yet started bumping into them (long story short, sentences were introduced when I was quite far in the textbook). Anyway, if you need more definite answers, the ‘Contact’ button is just at the top of the page. =)
