Thanks a lot to koichi for very quickly helping me get registered today!

I’ve been lucky enough to have made a lot of Japanese friends over here in the UK and have already started learning a small amount of vocabulary and with the use of resources like textfugu and memrise I’ve pretty much got the hang of hirigana, although I’m still really slow with reading it.

The reason why I want to learn Japanese, or at least it to be able to go visit the country and meet people without having to speak english. I would also like to be able to watch movies without subtitles!

I’ve only got till September before I go out to Japan, but luckily I really enjoy learning so I’m sure I’ll be able to get to a conversational level before then *fingers crossed*!
