I’ve just recently wrapped up Season 1 and I wanted to stop by and say hey. I guess I’m technically a college student but I’ve taken the last semester or so off and plan to return next spring. I’ve always had an interest in Japanese culture but after I FINALLY got to visit Tokyo in the summer of 2010 I made a promise to myself that I would do whatever it took to learn Japanese. And go back.
The college I attend recently dropped Japanese from the course lineup so while looking around for what to do in the meantime I came across TextFugu. It’s been a great place to start so far and I’m really looking forward to diving in further!

I like talking. Listening. And lately apparently READING about video games more than getting to play them. So feel free to ask, chat, or talk to me about anything.-

@Cassandra – Oh Tokyo was great! I had always wanted to go so finally I convinced a friend to go with me and we just off and went! I had been saving money for a while but honestly every bit I spent was well worth it. And not just Tokyo, we went to Kyoto too…and there was just so so so much to see. I had never been to a REALLY big city before OR out the country so the whole experience was breathtaking. My favorite part was probably just people watching and trying to take in all the crazy things going on around me!
@Hashi – Yeah, unfortunately LSU likes football. And football. And sometimes, football. So I think bringing back Japanese is WAY down on their list:( But hopefully I’ll be able to attend another local college that offers Japanese instead! But thank you, definitely enjoying Textfugu!
Neil, that sounds awesome. I hope you get to return soon! If you go in the spring, where are you planning on going?
