Hello all you other lovely persons out there :)

I’m aka from Germany and I really want to learn Japanese. For some reason I’m confronted with that language since I was 16 or 17 – my sister took a course then – but I was just learning sloppily and didn’t make any progress.

A year ago (gosh, already a year…) I started to learn via the book “Japanese for Busy People” (in German, though) but didn’t pull through. And now I’m here.

I want to learn that beautiful language because I want to travel to Japan one day to study their forms of art. That would be really awesome.
Plus, I want to understand Japanese movies/animes and such without subtitles. Furthermore, I would like to be able to speak, understand and eventually write Japanese as well as I do English now. Sometimes I just stop and think: Wow, it’s amazing that I can understand people talking in English. Well, since I’m from Germany I just hear people talking in German, so that’s quite amazing for me. I want to say the same with Japanese :)

I’m worried though, I’m a member now but I’m moving in a few days and don’t even know when I’ll be able to learn properly in all that chaos. Oh well, it will work out!

    Thank you for reading :)

    Greetings and much love,
    aka
