Greetings to fellow members of the textfugu community.

I just joined and am looking forward to learning a great deal from the online textbook and from you folks.

I’m fascinated by Japanese culture and the Japanese people and I’m fortunate enough to have chances to visit Japan on occasional work trips. I wish to take the opportunity to learn the language to communicate with the locals and to deepen my appreciation of Japanese culture and history.

And thus I embark on this multi-year (or lifelong?) project.
