Glad to be here! I had only found out about TextFugu fairly recently, while scouting around online for more resources to help me learn Japanese. I have been studying Japanese casually (aka barely..*winces*), off and on for nearly a decade, mostly on my own. I’ve found that I enjoy it much more when I can study and practice it with other people (my cat’s Japanese is much worse than my own!), so I thought I’d give the community here a go!

I have been interested in Japanese and other east asian cultures since I was a small child, particularly for their traditional music, arts and crafts, cuisine, mythology, architecture and philosphies about life. There is still so much to learn and I would like to improve my understanding about Japanese culture and language, as well as make some friends along the way!
