Hi,

I’m Reece and I’m a 19 year old software developer from Shropshire. I’m here because I really want to pursue the academic route of Japanese, i.e. I want to study it at a university and spend a year in Japan. My dream is to continue my career as a software developer while living in Japan.

To get myself into a university I need a GCSE qualification in a language, so as a reader of Tofugu, naturally I have chosen TextFugu to teach myself while I continue to work. GCSE tests take place in June so I am going to be studying intensely and getting through as many resources as I can. Obviously being GCSE competent by June is a very tall order so I might have to push it to next year, but who knows? I’m a fairly decent learner.

I got through all of the free TextFugu material last year to try it out, but only just followed through with the purchase last month, so I’m fairly excited to explore the site and interact on the forums.
