Welcome to TextFugu!
That’s about how long I’ve been studying as well, and just like you I keep letting my studies lapse. For me it was less do to methodology and more due to allowing things to get in my way and distract me. Once distracted enough, I found I hadn’t studied for so long that I had to start again from scratch. This probably happened about 5 times.
I started out at TF about a year ago and vowed that I would not get distracted again…
But I did. :(
I moved houses, got a new computer, and began going to university again, so it was nearly a year before I got back to it. Luckily this time I had TF so I could quickly review back to where I was at last time and start again without too much trouble.
I just wish I had been studying steadily the whole 10 years… @_@
