    Hello everyone.

I’m a complete beginner with Japanese, so this is the first learning programm I’ve used for it so far. Found it after snooping around reddit for a bit to find resources ha ha. I have to say though I love the format completely.
I do have one thing that makes things ridiculously easy for me though. I’ve watched anime pretty consistently since I was a little kid. I don’t ever watch TV with few exceptions. I just watch anime. Oddly enough, this has made me know a ton of vocabulary already just from passive learning. Either that or the word I’ve heard or am somewhat familiar with so its easier to pick up on. So, hurrah to lazy learning.

I am really enjoying this though. I’ve studied a few other languages and can definitely say I’ve never had this much fun learning a language so far. Hope to get Japanese mastered and maybe meet some of you guys over in Japan soon eh?

Hi Jonathan and welcome! Nice to see a fellow redditor. Though I guess most people use reddit these days.

Good luck with the studies. I’ve been at it for a couple of months now, and I still think TextFugu is super awesome. Just remember to keep going when it gets hard! :)

Hi Jonathan, welcome to TextFugu. Between your avatar and the other thread you made, it looks like you’re quite the Danny Choo fan!

    Good luck with your studies!

Yup lol. Love Mirai. I watch her “learning hiragana” video every other day for encouragement.  Ah~ so deliciously cute.
