Hi guys I’m Chris. I am coming from italki.com and I previously used Genki up to Chapter 17 before coming over here. My teacher introduced me to Wanikani to learn Kanji, and I found out about Textfugu from there. Honestly Genki is a good book, but I think Textfugu is way more structured and is better for self- learners like me. I have been studying Japanese for a year and a half, but I still have so much to learn. Textfugu explains everything much better, and fills in a lot of the holes that Genki left in my studies. The conversations are written very awkward in Genki 1 and 2. I’m glad I came over to Textfugu.
