Why are you learning Japanese?

I have to admit, your reason for learning Japanese seems kinda… utilitarian. “I’m only learning cause it’d be useful, but I ain’t gonna enjoy it” sort of thing. And yeah, while it’s certainly possible to overdo it, there ain’t nothing wrong with being a Japan fan.

It’s true, it got even worse with ‘excuses for not doing it’, my girlfriend is actually a Japanese tutor although I haven’t asked for any tutoring myself, I meet a lot of her clients and I guess it got to me a bit.
Let’s add: typographically written Japanese has always been a huge draw for me and it would be amazing to master the written form.
