My name is Maria and I’m learning Japanese so that ultimately I can translate books between Japanese and English. Having been through college and graduate school already, I’m not super interested in more traditional classwork. I’ve also got a couple of kids that take up a fair amount of my time (and there’s one of my excuses I try not to make an excuse), so I needed something more flexible. Here I am! I’ve been tinkering with learning Japanese for the last year and a little (75% of which was watching a whole lot of J-drama and subtitle-less movies. The other 25% was actual studying.), but it’s time to get serious. I’m really looking forward to digging in. よろしくおねがいします!
