Hi eveyone, just like all of you I’m here to learn Japanese. I’ve been exposed to the language for many, many years and I’ve decided that rather than just casually enjoying the language, I’d like to become fluent in both writing and speaking. Textfugu seems like it’s worth a shot – it’s way cheaper than things like Rosetta Stone for a start… Plus I just like the general feel of the learning materials.
As for why? Well, first of all I would love to be a translator, particularly within the Video Game industry but I know I’d be happy anywhere if I was doing something I love. Secondly? … I love OtoGe and the majority of Ootome games are in Japanese, therefore if I want to get truly *dokidoki* over my games, I really do need to have a solid language foundation!
I’m looking forward to this journey and I intend to participate in the forums a lot more actively once I’ve completed the first few chapters!
