    Hello everyone.

My name is Brandon. I’m closing in on 27 years old and I work full-time in a hospital as a laboratory technician.

Back in college, I took two semesters of Japanese for fun but had to stop there so I could focus more on my major’s core classes. It’s been several years since then and I’m incredibly rusty with a language that I really didn’t know too much about to begin with. So regardless of past experience, I heavily consider myself as a beginner.

Japan as a country and as a culture has always interested me, and it’s easily one of the places on my bucket list that I’d like to visit at least once before well… kicking the bucket, which shouldn’t be anytime soon. Oh, and I also enjoy the occasional Japanese video game and anime, so that’s always a little bit of an extra incentive.

Starting new routines can be a bit of a challenge for me, and studying isn’t something I’ve done in quite a while. Needless to say, the start of this journey seems very daunting to me. However, I’m very much looking forward to giving this my best shot and hopefully Textfugu will be able to help me along the way (it’s been a pleasure and very motivating to read thus far).

Well. Time to get to bed so I can get up bright and early to get some studying under my belt.

P.S. I’m currently looking for a beginner-friendly iPhone app to help me study while things are going a bit slow at work. Any suggestions?

    Hi Brandon.
I’m 31 myself and left the schoolbenches 13 years ago, so I can relate to the challenge you are facing.
But for me it’s so far so good :)
Hope you also wont have any trouble, good luck!
