    Steps taken:

    1.) Used the Google. Typed  “am i pronouncing the japanese r correctly?” in a fit of uncertainty. Scrolled to the ninth link down. Clicked.
    2.) Listened to half the page, did their method kinda sorta.
    3.) Came to Textfugu forum, making this post in order to share this method but also for others to review this to make sure it is A.O.K to use (in other words that it actually sounds how its supposed to).
    Personal comments thus far: Its pretty weird because I feel like I am already pronouncing the Japanese ‘R’ with greater ease and with greater accuracy.

    If you stick your tongue between your upper front row of teeth and say ‘ra’, you’ll get the same result. Water method seems ok, but it makes it more confusing than it is. The best thing is to listen to natives pronouncing words with r in them.
