I love the way the Japanese Language sounds
I love listening to my favorite musician Utada Hikaru, but I would also enjoy being able to understand her work from a lyrical point of view; and being able to understand
others in the Japanese music industry.I want to one day take up digital painting. To learn to paint digitally and to speak Japanese
would make me a very marketable person; coupling the two would open doors worth while.I want to visit Japan and possibly reside there.
I would love to meet and speak with not only Utada Hikaru, but my favorite composers Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitsuda.
Japanese characters are fun to learn :)..
Diving into something this challenging brings me a great deal of instant gratification. It’s exhilarating to take on something so elaborate.
I have a great appreciation for Japanese media. Although I was unaware of it in my younger years. Playing the Japanese version of Chrono Trigger would be grand :)…
~M-a-f-u-y-u~July 9, 2011 at 11:45 pm #13871+1 for Utada
+10 for NobuoI think I like you, sir. You like any Japanese rock bands?
Good luck and have fun learning.
July 10, 2011 at 12:52 am #13875Hello!
Nobuo Uematsu is indeed a great composer! I agree with Mars.
Welcome and good luck learning japanese here at TextFugu.
There's always money in the banana stand!July 10, 2011 at 12:54 am #13876I listen to Gackt, maybe one or two songs from his Malice Mizer days.
I really like that Gravity song by Luna Sea.
And I have a little bit of Miyavi on my computer :)
Oh, and L’Arc~en~Ciel…
I haven’t put much time aside to browse for JRock though.
I really enjoy Hikki ^_^()…
~M-a-f-u-y-u~July 10, 2011 at 1:31 am #13880Good enough for me. Gackt is damn good. Check out some of his more recent stuff, sometime. He’s a genius, and lyrically (since I assume that’s what you like most about music; understandable) he’s very good for translating and seeing how beautiful it is in both languages.
I like your musical taste. You have my blessing. lol
But we’ll just keep that Miyavi comment a secret… Hahaha. I hate his baseball caps so much. :(
July 10, 2011 at 3:01 am #13883Welcome to TextFugu!
Utada Hikaru has some pretty nice songs. Favourite song by her?
Good luck learning Japanese.
July 10, 2011 at 4:19 pm #13894Thanks for giving me the thumbs on some of my musical interests. And yeah, the baseball caps aren’t so great. Gackt’s music makes me feel good. I should definitely look at exploring these interests from an analytical point of view…might help my learning Japanese more progressive.
My Utada favorites include: Be My Last (orchestral and Utada United), Colors, Dareka No Negai Ga Kanau Koro, Kremlin Dusk, Animato, Movin’ On Without You, and many more :)…
