I'm in, in the sense that I've committed to a full membership with Tofugu. And I've done so after only a week or thinking about it, once I stumbled on Koichi's baby (through YouTube). That is saying something, given that I've spent close to 20 years not getting very far with my Japanese. That must set a record for users of this site. I might also wager that I'm the oldest person here (in my mid-fifties). Okay, here's a few things about me: I have a Japanese wife, I moved to Kyushu to live in April, 2011, we have a 20-month old daughter, I hate making mistakes when I speak, I know a couple of hundred kanji by sight, but not in combination with each other, I can make out individual words when I listen, but I can't 'gel' them into comprehensible phrases, and I taught ESOL (English of Speakers of Other Languages) for 15 years. I look forward to getting to know this site and the people who populate it.
