I’m not using WK but I had the same prob as you in anki, either I couldn’t remember the on or kun, or I got them wrong. But as I went trough TF, I realised that I have no problem whatsoever at reading a word that contains kanjis… Basically if the kanji is alone with nothing attached to it, it’s just a no go for me… I just can’t learn both on an kun (takes too much time for not much I think), but if its a whole word then it makes it much much easier. (I didn’t even know there were rules for using either one or the other, thought that was a random thing :p)
